Summary
Graham dies at her hands, and leaves behind a whole hoard of guilt for Regina to carry around. She allows it to lead her, tries to find the beauty in her misdeeds, but Emma Swan is collateral damage Regina didn't expect would shatter so quickly.
For the sake of her son who witnesses his hero slowly crumble, Regina does everything in her power to save the woman meant to destroy her. When she begins to feel something akin to affection for Emma, some events slot into place so easily that it seems too good to be true.
And perhaps, it might be.

It starts off as a dare.
Kara sends Luthor Corp a painting of the corporation burning down flames. It had seemed like such a good idea then, but decisions laden with alcohol never end well.
As the seasons change, the consequences for insulting a Luthor doesn't seem as dire as Kara expected. But when she finds beauty in the woman who confronts her about the art, Kara thinks this might really be her end.

Summary
Canon-divergent season 2. No wraith, no magic hat.
The curse is broken and their entire world shatters. When Regina is put on trial for crimes against the people, she's dealt a punishment no one could have ever imagined. Now saddled with the burden of responsibility, the Saviour seems intent on making it her personal mission to ensure Regina's safety. And it wouldn't be such a big deal, only there are feelings that choke Regina whenever Emma shows that she cares (which is often, and never ending, and a problem).
But Regina learns that wants and needs are often one in the same, that redemption can come in form of healing, and gifts from a curse can only be unwrapped by the people who broke it.
