And, kriff, it worked.
Or Vader succeeds to bring Padme back to life, based on the video game “Vader: Immortal” and Vader is absolutely whipped for his wife.

Darth Vader was a cold hearted mass murderer. All he ever felt was hate, anger, anything to make him more powerful for him to serve the Empire and the Emperor.
On the Empire’s Day on Naboo, he meets for the first time Padme Amidala, Senator of Naboo and Palpatine’s political apprentice. She keeps all her resentments about the Empire for herself, very well hidden.
And Vader…Vader fell hard. From the moment he met her, he knew she was his, she was his air, his water, his reason to exist. Vader now knew that he was not only made for war but also for Padme Amidala. Only Padme Amidala.
He will make her his at any cost. He never courted someone but, for her, he could do anything.

AU where Anakin never met Padme but he did so when he was Vader and became crazy about her.

Frantically, her head swivels, her eyes scanning rapidly over the crowd. She spots his sandy-gold locks before anything else, catching only pieces of his form through the crowd. He’s moving. Dancing, apparently, and she cranes her neck to catch a glimpse of his partner. Her fingers clutch ruthlessly onto the, ha, padded shoulder of her partner as she catches sight of the woman in her husband’s embrace. Lithe, blonde, and beautiful. Voluptuous in all the right places. Face doused in a layer of powder that Padmé would just love to scrape off her cheeks.
And worst of all, the icing on this sour, metaphorical cake–she has her fingers dug into Anakin’s tabard, clutching onto him like some brainless, hormonally-driven bimbo.
Her line of sight is suddenly cut off. “Senator? Is everything alright?”
Her eyes flick back to Anakin only to find him already looking at her. The mischief in his eyes and the smirk on his lips sends her every feminine urge flying.
Fine. If that’s the way he wants to play, so be it.
[Or, after pushing each other's buttons on the dance floor, Anakin Skywalker shows his wife truly how much she means to him]
