Summary
After the Adrian Gallo case, the team is trying to decompress.
Morales just wanted pizza and a quiet drink.
Instead she ends up front-row to Bex and Shane having what is very obviously a dinner negotiation disguised as casual conversation — one that sounds suspiciously like a date.
Morales realizes two things very quickly.
One: they do this all the time now.
Two: the sexual tension between them is absolutely ridiculous.
When she accidentally interrupts what might have been their first kiss, Morales decides one thing for certain:
Jacob Hassani is definitely hearing about this later.

In the quiet after Ron Simms, Bex, and Shane don't talk about what almost happened.
They just make sure the other is still there.
They don’t cross the line.
They just stand close enough to see it.

Summary
After the Pit, after the blood, there’s only the hum of the plane and the echo of what almost was. Shane wakes to find Bex softer than he’s ever seen her — smiling at a photo of the life she rarely lets show. He doesn’t speak. Not at first. When he does, it’s not protocol. It’s something else.
They both know it won’t last.
But for a moment, in the hush between descent and landing, there’s something real between them.
Even if it’s only just beginning.Series

Summary
During a training session focused on hand-to-hand combat and close-quarters disarming, Shane teaches Bex a new move. She uses it to take him down—fast—and straddles him, victorious. The team rotates partners. Morales jokes that Bex only wins by playing dirty; Hassani bets she can’t keep Shane down for ten seconds. Shane smirks, “I wouldn’t mind.” Bex proves them wrong. Later that night, Shane gets even—and she lets him.

Summary
After learning the truth about why he was born, Buck makes the most deliberate choice of his life: he applies to Asterbridge House, a private matchmaking service he’s been saving for since he was eighteen, because more than anything, he wants a spouse, children, and a home that lasts.
He does not expect to be matched with Tommy Kinard.
Tommy is older, steadier, richer, and far better at seeing through Buck than Buck is ready for. He listens carefully, kisses gently, and makes room for Buck exactly as he is, which would be easier to enjoy if Buck’s family didn’t think he was making a mistake. It would be easier still if Maddie wasn’t trying to fix his life for him, or if wanting something for himself didn’t feel so much like betraying everyone else’s expectations.
Somewhere between first dates, family betrayals, crossed lines, and one very bad fire, Buck has to figure out whether he can stop asking permission to want the life he actually wants — and whether Tommy might be a place to land.

Downright, straight up, hands down one of the best fics I’ve ever read. Might be the best Buck and Tommy fic out there currently even.
