Summary
Violet Sorrengail has spent seven months being very normal about her neighbor.
So normal, in fact, that she has put Xaden Riorson in a very specific box: Thursday nights, no feelings, back across the hall before he can do anything dangerous, like ask about her day. It is not dating. It is not friendship. It is not part of her real life. Violet has said this so many times it almost sounds true.
But the problem with keeping the men in her life in separate boxes is that sometimes the boxes start wanting each other.
RQ Summer Exchange 2026: Buckle up—we're doing a chapter a day from July 13–20.

Summary
Two years after her father’s death, Violet Sorrengail enters the Riders Quadrant with more knowledge than she should have, far less training than she needs, and a locked journal full of secrets she can barely begin to understand. Fresh off a breakup with the heir to Navarre, she isn’t looking for complications, but nothing prepares her for Xaden Riorson, or the dangerous ease they fall into with each other.
When her power manifests early and pulls her into Xaden’s dreams, Violet sees something she was never meant to: a wardstone, forbidden runes, and proof that her father’s work may be closer, and more dangerous, than she ever imagined.
Or: Violet manifests her dream-walking signet early, walks into one of Xaden’s dreams, and makes everyone’s lives significantly more complicated.

Summary
The other gods heed her little mind. She is the youngest of the children of the Harvest, hardly more than a nymph, emerging only in the bountiful stretch of days between winter’s demise and summer’s unfolding.
She is, for all intents and purposes, entirely harmless; no war cries like Athena, no seductive song like Aphrodite, no silvered arrows like Artemis. There is a softness about her, a gracious beauty, that allows Spring to go relatively undisturbed, shielded effortlessly by the fear of her mother’s wrath if something were to happen to her.
But the lord of the Underworld does not heed Harvest’s unspoken commandments when he sets his sight on Spring.
Did someone ask for a Hades and Persephone AU?
