Connor and Markus Smith have lived 3 years happily married. Every day, they would return home from their day jobs to enjoy an idyllic (almost boring) home life. They were the perfect couple living their ideal lives.
Or so they thought.
The peaceful facade of an ordinary marriage shatters when Connor and Markus finds themselves assigned to the same mission on opposing sides. As secrets and lies become uncovered, they have have to come to terms with the fact that the person they fell in love with isn't who the person said they were.

Markus liked this. Whatever this was. "As tempting as that sounds, I don't know if I should take you up on that offer."
"Why? Can't trust me?" Behind that teasing reply there was a note of bitterness.
Right. Whatever this was. It was wrong. They shouldn't be doing this. They were enemies.

It's been two weeks since Markus was victorious in his fight to free his people from the recall centers. Detroit belongs to Jericho now, but the war is far from over. It doesn't surprise him when another RK800 appears before him with a mission to end his life. What does surprise him is how quickly things unravel when Markus' proposed "solution" entwines himself with the deviant hunter and blurs the line between enemies and lovers.

Hank has been providing intel to assassins for a mysterious underground criminal organization for awhile now. He doesn't know who or what this organization is, but every so often he'll find an assassin in his office looking for intel. Connor is the most recent to show up and though he usually acts friendly, Hank has to remind himself that the kid is a killer that shouldn't be taken lightly.

A one-shot I originally posted on tumblr to accompany some art I made of assassin Connor and P.I. Hank. Posting it here in case I decide to re-visit the idea in the future! For now, it remains a quick one-shot focused on Hank and Connor.

Heavy spoilers for Sacrificial Lamb. I highly recommend you read that first.
Connor is a free android now, and Markus is still trying to change the world. Finding time for their growing relationship is hard. It's made even harder by the entire truckload of trauma Connor is carrying with him from his time spent at CyberLife. Markus doesn't care. He loves Connor as he is, and is willing to take as much time as they need to help him heal.
