On the other side, a bare hand grabs a shiny gold door knob, turning it to enter. As he pushes his door open, he’s met with the comforting layout of his own bed chamber, but he's also met with the comforting face of a familiar man.
For a second, or rather multiple seconds, Leonard's mouth gapes open as his body remains frozen, his hand still wrapped around the shiny gold door knob as if still turning it.
Seeing this rather pathetic sight, Klein can't help but allow a laugh to escape from his chest as he’s met with the sight of his former coworker's pitiful state.
Donning the face of Klein Moretti, he calls out to him. “Leonard?”
“Klein…” Long black hair falls over his face as he closes his green eyes, a hand coming up to rub his face as his grip on the doorknob seemed to grow tighter. “Klein…” Leonard repeated, the name rolling off of his tongue like it belonged there as he staggered forward.
The figure across from him in a formal black suit and silk tophat stood up, removing a glove that resembled human skin from his left hand before tossing it behind himself onto the poet's cluttered desk.
