Summary
Summer after summer, during the only heat in the year that Shane would have, Ilya would have to watch his husband endure pure agony of a body withered by a lack of hormones being brutally forced through heats that would take a toll on an omega with a healthy reproductive system. It was never a shared bonding moment between them-- it was terror. Ilya would be forced to stay on the phone with medical specialists every hour Shane slept, they spent days of his heat in the hospital. And every year it got worse. Combined with the ever looming threat of permanent brain damage from hockey, Ilya had been trying to push Shane away from hockey as a career for around a year. For around a year, their marriage has been failing because of it.
But after a serious injury leaves Shane concussed and Ilya lost, a conservatively minded doctor steps in as his influence to help push Shane in a better direction.
Whether he likes it or not.

Summary
Shane Hollander is an omega who has worked harder than anyone he's known to get to where he's at. As the captain of the Knights Voyageur of the Kingdom of Liore, Shane holds an important role in leading the royal guard of one of the most powerful kingdoms in the entire continent. In his rigid society, Shane has had to endure a great deal of humiliation and pain to hold the position of captain, but he would have it no other way. To him, knighthood is more than just its power, its his livelihood, he'd always known his role in life would be to be a part of the royal guard. Being an omega brought its own challenges to that, but it never truly stopped him. He didn't care that he would never bond, hold a mating bite, or carry the young of some alpha- he was a knight first and foremost damn it!
Of course, things seem less simple once an envoy of reckless knights from a neighboring (far less impressive) kingdom arrive, lead by one Captain Ilya Rozanov.

Summary
Ao'nung doesn't like anyone in that Omaticaya family. They're odd for one reason or another, and get on his nerves. But he's the most unsettled by Neteyam. He was used to rolling his eyes or being otherwise annoyed by the responsibilities that would sometime's come with being the son of the chief of the Metkayina, but coming face to face with Neteyam, another eldest son of much the same status, Ao'nung sees a reflection of himself except better. Someone who accepts the responsibilities he has, and is more than ready to take on more when the time comes. Even when being thrust into a new environment, surrounded by teasing and unfamiliar surroundings, he acts with a grace and dignity that Ao'nung can recognize he's never held once in his life. While thinking about the other members of the Suli family makes him angry, thinking of Neteyam just makes him sick.
"Aren't you embarassed? To be acting like this?"
The words ping-ponged through Ao'nung's head daily since Neteyam had said them to him. Unable to sort out any of his feelings on the other, Ao'nung tried to avoid him as much as possible.
Which isn't as much as he'd hoped.

Summary
Jake lost a piece of himself when he was told he'd never be able to walk again, an unfortunate hazard of the job. But when he was laying there in the hospital, he would dream of the stories his brother told him about Pandora. He'd have these recurring dreams of flying, feeling free. He wanted to feel that freedom again, and the Avatar Program could provide that.
It's why when he arrived on the indigenous moon he wasn't looking to be some counterspy for Colonel Miles Quaritch, and he certainly wasn't looking for a permanent place among the Na'vi. Jake only wanted to be free. He just never expected his training with the Omaticaya hunter Tsu'tey to alter the course of what he desired.
