"'M tired," Connor grumbled, muffled by the blanket.
"So am I," Haytham shot back immediately, "but I also understand the importance of acquiring the Apple before anyone else does." While it was very unlikely anyone else was looking for it, who knew what could happen if some idiot treasure hunter got their hands on it first...
Connor groaned again.
Haytham heaved a sigh, and pulled at the blankets. "If you are going to insist on sleeping for another two hours, at least give back my half of the blanket you hog!"
Connor kicked the blanket back onto the other man and Haytham shuffled closer. The Englishman curled around Connor— a leg swung over his hip and an arm tightly wound around the younger man. Connor muttered something in Kanien'kehá:ka. Probably a loving insult, as usual.
"Shut up and go to sleep if you're so tired," Haytham grumbled in response. He felt a rumble of Connor's silent laughter against his chest, and he smiled.
