Time TravelFrom the time Madara was a young boy, still small enough to sit on his mother’s hip, he’d been told the histories of their clan, and of the world. How the very trees used to sing out a song for the wind to carry. How falling asleep in moonlight used to mean you’d only have pleasant dreams. How the sun goddess loved his ancestors so much, she had gifted them the fire in their lungs so that they might earn the respect of her dragons, and strong eyes so that they might see clearly no matter how close to her light they flew.
The trees did not sing anymore, and the moon had been asleep for a long, long time, and no one had seen a dragon in over three hundred years. But the Uchiha still had their fire and their precious eyes, and they were nearly all that was left of the magic in the world.

Day 1:
Folklore, Fantasy, and Myth// Time TravelFinding out that the Eye of the Moon plan had been a gigantic lie and that he’d been manipulated for years and driven to madness because of some sentient plant serving a moon goddess had been a slap to the face. Kami, what an idiot he’d been.
But when Madara opened his eyes again, somehow alive, only to find that he was back in the Warring Clans Era, that Izuna was still alive—it was a second chance to make things right.
Of course, it probably would have been easier if Tobirama hadn’t also, somehow, managed to end up in the past with him. (But then again, maybe not.)
