Summary
Utterly baffled, the intern reached into his wallet and pulled out several bills, unable to recall if he’d paid anything for the earlier drinks but willing to pay now either way if he could simply leave the situation. He stepped out, hesitating for a moment as he wracked his brain for something, anything to say to the other intern and coming up blank.
“See ya Bambi.” The man muttered, still not looking his way and when the driver looked over at him and he felt his face turn completely red, he slammed the door shut perhaps a little too hard and spun on his heel, not looking back as he marched up to the door.

Summary
Jack had been watching Eric since they moved in together. At first, it was purely practical – getting to know a new roommate. Over time, it turned into scientific fascination. How the hell could someone so chaotic function without tripping over his own messiness?
Eric's moods swung in odd patterns, but none ever lasted long. When he talked, he was always in motion. He often wore his nice shirts inside out, as if his brain ran faster than his hands. He left notes for himself all over the apartment, so he wouldn't forget things.
One of those stuck in Jack's mind. He'd found it a while back, stuck to the inside of their shower stall. It was waterlogged, but still legible: don't forget to breathe.
The handwriting matched the other notes – except this one had no addressee.Jack had to learn the hard way how universally applicable it was.
