Summary
It's not jealousy. Adrian is adamant about that. They are actually insisting that it’s not any emotion at all. Not even dislike. They are simply completely uninterested in anything that concerns “the human”.
Rocky believes them. Adrian has always been the level-headed one out of the two of them. They are too logical to be jealous. They acknowledge that Grace and Rocky have a special bond after everything they went through together and also understand that none of that will ever pose a threat to their relationship.
Neither are they heartless or ungrateful. They know that Grace is the only reason that Rocky is back at all, the only reason their star has stopped dying. Adrian has told Rocky again and again that they are grateful and happy and wish the alien no ill will. They even helped with the construction of the biodome.
And yet they have no desire to get to know Grace.

Summary
Brunch went south about two steps away from the front entrance of Shen Yuan’s favorite cafe; a place with free wifi, big squishy chairs, custom mimosa pitchers, and an endless avocado toast special. He arrived bright and early with his computer bag under one arm and the intention of staking out one of the solo tables in back for the rest of the morning until he’d finished his current editing project.
The project in question was the latest offering from Airplane Shooting Towards the Sky after he broke out from webnovels, so endless mimosas and carbohydrates would be necessary for Shen Yuan to make it through with his sanity and blood pressure intact. Shang Qinghua was late on his most recent draft, but the earliest chapters had been finalized so he could get started on that at least.
However, his phone pinged just as he reached the entrance, and Shen Yuan made the fatal mistake of pausing to check the message.
Shen Jiu: Too late now, but brace yourself. We’re inside. Qi-ge set us both up.
Or: that one where Shen Yuan lost his break up, but Luo Binghe is about to kill it on the rebound.

Summary
Finally going on an official date with the man you’d been in love with since you were old enough to really understand what love was should have been a purely joyous occasion, he’d thought. Instead, Binghe stood outside Yuan-ge's apartment building, frozen by anxiety.
He’d spent the time between that morning’s fateful brunch and now obsessing over reservations, whether to bring a car or not, and just how many buttons represented the sweet spot between ‘too slutty’ and ‘just slutty enough.’
Binghe was fully prepared to put out on the first date, but a hurried text conversation with Shang Qinghua had made it pretty clear that -as easily overwhelmed as Yuan-ge could get- he also was so dense that nothing short of a surface-to-air missile could penetrate his established determination that he was undesirable so it might not happen right away.
Or: that one where Luo Binghe gets both his man and some overdue revenge.
