    Summary

There is an unspoken rule in the league—in every league, in probably every goddamn social game on the planet—don't snitch. If someone's got a problem with you, it's with you, and snaking your team on them does far more harm than good in the long run.

"—Who tapped you? Who was it?"

"Don't worry about it," Light spits through a smile, plenty worried about it. He's spent enough time on the ice to know that a stick-tap is the hockey equivalent of pistols at dawn.

    "…Was it Lawliet?"

    ———

TL;DR I love hockey, and I love yaoi.
    This is my magnum opus.

"The man standing in front of him is an affront to humanity. Dark eyebags, hunched figure, crumpled T-shirt paired with blank eyes and pale skin.

The man—thing? —then shuffles forward. Light looks down and immediately regrets it. The thing’s barefoot toes squelch on the hardwood floor which Light had just taken the liberty to sweep. He vows to himself to never do any good deed for anyone ever again.

Smile, Yagami, the voice in his head says."

    Summary

His line of reasoning was simple. Teru was very smart and got the highest grades in all subjects. Someone as intelligent as him must enjoy learning, because why wouldn’t it be nice to know a lot? Especially while they were still students. The way he had been interested in Mob’s axolotl talk was plain proof. Besides that, Teru was so glad to help with his assignments. It’d be fantastic to show him that not only his efforts to make Mob understand were appreciated, but also that Mob too had a lot to teach him. Hence, there was no doubt that telling lots of facts would make Teru like him more.

Though ‘like’ was a frightening way to put it.

    -------------------
Mob thinks telling Teru fun facts is a flawless strategy to impress him. His intentions, however, are not really understood.

    Summary

The priest of the church has his back turned away from Wilbur’s approach. He lights a row of candles without a single inclination he knows Wilbur is there, but Wilbur is certain that he does. Phil and he have sat in this little town for nearly a month now, and while Wilbur has not made himself a social pariah, he has spent more time at the church debating theology with the good Father than socializing with the masses. The masses do not matter to his plan. They may even inadvertently benefit. But at the end of the day, they are nothing more than an afterthought. What matters is their priest.

He exudes a different flair than any priest Wilbur has ever known. The heart of their little town, Wilbur would say. With his open-door policy and bold sympathy for sinners, with his tight-lipped smile and carefully-chosen words, with a face meant to appeal to saints and sinners alike, well, he has certainly made himself the heart. Painstakingly so.
