If Mista acknowledges to himself the fact that he is holding hands with the Don of Italy’s largest crime family, he is going to not be able to function for the next three days straight. He also shouldn’t acknowledge that Giorno is starting to sound like the soundtrack to his wet dreams, either. It’s best to ignore everything he’s feeling, then, and focus on making sure Giorno is okay.
“Tell me why I shouldn’t call in Polnareff right now,” Mista says, keeping his voice controlled.
Giorno finally turns to look at him, and the sight makes Mista falter. Giorno’s face looks red, so drenched in sweat that his hair is plastered to his forehead as if glued there. His eyes are desperate, almost frenzied. He squeezes harder around Mista’s hand.
“Mista,” he says with a strangled voice. “I need you.”
