Summary
When Julian is nominated for the prestigious Carrington Award for his work on biomolecular replication, it dredges up more stress than excitement. Facing an unwanted trip to Earth and a crippling fear that his most closely guarded secret will be discovered, Julian figures he might as well bring Garak along for the ride.
It might be the best choice he's ever made.

Summary
Quark has a competition going to see who can snag the most romantic-looking picture of Garak and Bashir together. It’s so popular that practically everyone on DS9 is getting in on the action. Bashir finds out, and convinces Garak to help him take the winning photo – cue fake-relationship flirtation to get in the mood, a late-night tailor-shop rendezvous to pick the right outfits, then the staging of a seductive, intimate moment in a quiet hallway... only to wonder if the relationship they’re portraying in their picture is exactly what they want in reality. Or even what they already have.

Summary
With the power suddenly flicking on and off on Deep Space Nine, Garak hears what his lovely Dr Bashir actually sounds like, and ends up getting much farther involved in the Station's languages than he ever intended to. Ah, the things we do for love...

Summary
Garak picked through the detritus that remained of his shop, and considered his options.
It wasn't going to be easy. Of course it wasn't. The Federation had every reason to be exceptionally careful with the artifact the Bajorans had so courteously lent them—and every reason not to let a Cardassian in the same room with it.
(Set during 1.01. Garak receives an unexpected visitor—and is taken to an even more unexpected place.)

"No, it's fine," Julian said automatically. "But, Garak, is everything all right?"
"Captain Sisko wanted to see me," Garak said—which was so conspicuous a refusal to answer the question Julian had asked that it almost didn't qualify as an evasion. He pulled out the chair opposite Julian, and sat.
"Captain Sisko? Why?"
"Well, apparently," Garak said, "Cardassia has lodged a formal request with the Federation for my extradition."
(Or: Garak has a problem. Julian marries him to fix it. Except that means Julian also has a problem, albeit of a very different kind.)

Summary
After the incident with Gilora, the O'Briens have a dinner, and Miles gripes about argumentative Cardassian flirting. They have had a lot of wine, which is probably why he's telling this story, and probably why another Cardassian gets mentioned, and Julian too, and most definitely why Miles forgets himself and mentions all the times he's seen them arguing.
“They...argue?” Keiko's voice is very quiet.
“Yes, I was just saying…” Oh. Oh no. “You don’t think?”
And suddenly the two of them are involved in his best friend's love life, which Miles is most definitely (not) regretting.

Summary
Julian doesn't think about it much these days. Why should he, when it's been so long?
But when he does, if he does, well—he considers it part and parcel of Garak, that's all. Disconcerting at first, a little invasive. Awfully close to a line but not quite crossing it, and leaving Julian with absolutely no idea what he's meant to do in response. Garak in microcosm, summarized in a single unexpected gesture.
(Or: Julian has always thought Garak just had a weird little habit. Until another Cardassian does the same thing to him, and seems to imbue the gesture with a meaning Julian really had not anticipated.)
