Jon turns to their left, then to their right. Turns back to face their reflection directly, narrows their eyes. Bounces, just a little, on the tips of their toes, ignoring the heat prickling in their cheeks, ignoring his grandmother’s voice warning him of the dangers lurking within his reflection. Says, Hmmm, skeptical, but wondering. Bounces again. Maybe … ?
They turn back to their left. Looks over their shoulder and slowly rotates their torso, following the line of his chest in the mirror. Is that a faint swelling, there where before he has always been sharp and nearly concave? He rises up onto his heels, bounces. Hesitates a moment before reaching up and cupping their—their pec, with one hand, trying to imagine—is there perhaps a weight there that hasn’t been before? A curve rising to meet their palm? She pushes her palm up, a little higher, cupping the line of her chest, trying to decide if the artificial swell is larger than it was yesterday, or the week before, or the month before.
In the quiet aftermath, Jon seeks to make their body their own. Martin does what he can to support them.

A deeper sort of greed settles into his chest, and he smiles at Elias with a bright, manic energy. The kiss Elias presses to his hand feels like a blessing.

Well. It’s not as though kibbeh is hard to make. And mihshai malfoof may be time-consuming, but it’s good to keep his hands busy. And once he’s gotten started, he might as well make a salad to go along with it, and if he’s making a salad he should round it out completely and add dip and pita, and his grandmother had an excellent lemon chicken soup recipe, if Jon can only just find it, and then it is Monday morning and Jon is staring at the stacks and stacks of tupperware on his counter, wondering how the hell he’s going to get it all to the Institute.

Castiel, watching, wants to pull Dean’s hand away and replace it with his mouth, kiss away the wrinkles. He has the feeling that Dean would not find this an acceptable course of action in public. “You wanted to go all-out on Halloween decorations this year. And you’re broke as shit. So you decided to reanimate a couple dozen corpses rather than shell out twenty bucks at Party City for some plastic bones.”
“I didn’t mean to,” the girl moans. Her head is in her hands and her short dark hair is a mess, pulled every which way. “I swear to God, I was just trying to raise one—I even picked out an unmarked grave, you know, one of the ones that’s been here for like, two hundred years? So I don’t, like. I dunno, upset the family, I guess? And I was just gonna have it sit by my door and move every once in a while when trick or treaters came by and freak people out, and then the next day, I swear, I was gonna put it back to rest.”
“Lady,” Dean says, “You raised a whole friggin’ cemetery.”

They’re in the Impala, the two of them, staking out a nest of vamps, Dean fidgeting in the driver’s seat while Cas slumps against the passenger side door, fighting to keep his eyes open. It’s three in the morning, and he’s running on four cups of coffee and just a few hours of sleep.
Dean sucks in a deep breath, rubs the back of the neck. “I, uh,” he says, “got you something. Made you something. And it’s not a big deal, so don’t take it that way.”

And even when they follow Charlie's advice and head to Hot Topic, they're way out of their element - especially when Dean sees Supernatural merchandise for sale.
And Dean is half-sick with his longing for Cas, but when he finds the courage to reach out, Cas reaches back.
