“I don’t think I’ve ever met a Hero so passionate about…lettuce.”
Katsuki’s face heated up, and he quickly ducked into his high collar to hide it.
“I don’t think I’ve met a Hero with such a dirty mouth either,” she continued with a growing smile, and Katsuki blushed harder.
“Listen, lady, as long as I save people, my language doesn’t matter,” he said, but it sounded a bit petulant.
She laughed, a light, tinkling sound. “I guess not.”

four months of this. four months of katsuki pretending the way izuku says after service doesn’t go straight up his spine. four months of the same routine, close out the kitchen, smoke break in the alley, izuku says "yours or mine," katsuki says “mine,” and they end up on his floor or his couch or, twice memorably, against his fridge. it’s clean. it’s a deal. they are both gunning for the chef de cuisine spot that opens up in march and they are both vicious about it and at the end of the night they fuck each other’s brains out and go to work the next day and start over.

Katsuki did.
“I like this. I like feeling you breathe.” Izuku admitted sheepishly. Katsuki’s internal monologue was calling him a perverted freak, but he understood where Izuku was coming from. On bad nights, he also felt grounded by the warmth beside him. “It’s like– I can control you.”
“The fuck?”
“Not like that. But I can make sure you’re still, well, here.” Izuku offered.
