Summary
Set pre-series, when Mob is eleven years old and has been working for Reigen for about a year.
Summary: After a job goes wrong, Mob is hurt and Reigen knows it's his fault. Whilst Mob is in the hospital recovering from his injuries, he agrees to meet with Mob's mother to talk things over, and learns more about Mob's past.
In which Reigen discovers a lot about Mob's trauma, his family, and realises the boy's importance in the his life.

"Mr. Reigen." Mrs. Kageyama's voice is suddenly sharp. "There are some things we need to discuss. Not over the phone, not tonight - can we meet, tomorrow? At the hospital cafeteria?"
It's true. There are many things they need to talk about, but Reigen doesn't want to talk about any of them. He doesn't want to talk about endangering Mob, or how he's been using him for a year, or how he fucked up. But he owes it to the Kageyamas, after everything he's put them through. He owes it to Mob to end things properly. If he does it right, he might even get the chance to say goodbye.
