Summary
It’s not like Samira expected otherwise, but she can’t help but focus on how there’s only one bed.
“I requested a cot before we came up here,” Jack mentions offhandedly, almost as though he read her mind.
Jack can’t sleep on a cot because of her, but she’s not all that keen to sleep on one either. There’s only one solution to this problem, one that Samira isn’t quite sure she can handle. She throws caution to the wind and suggests it anyway.
“Why don’t we just share the bed?"
Or, Jack and Samira attend a conference together, and there's only one bed. It's a good job there are no unspoken feelings to worry about.

Summary
Jack must’ve jinxed it. He wanted something else to steal his attention from the handover, and that wish seems to have been granted in the form of a yelp of pain.
Jack's head snaps up in search of the source of the sound. It’s loud enough to have grabbed the attention of everyone in the vicinity. No traumas have come in since he arrived, so whoever made that sound is likely to be in urgent need of his assistance.
And that’s when he sees it. Samira. She’s stumbling out of a patient's room, clutching at her right side, collapsing into Langdon, who catches her before she can fall to the floor.
Or, with a rift caused by Samira's impending departure, Jack witnessing an injury at shift change might be the catalyst needed for them to bridge the gap.

Summary
“You said this was about ‘mundane legal matters’?” Grace prompts.
“Yes.” The Attorney confirms, digging through his leather briefcase. “It took some time for things to get settled what with the wedding and the subsequent funerals and all, but the estate is finally ready for you to take the reins.”
“The estate? What estate? I abdicated the high seat.”
“Yes, well… like I said, these are entirely mundane legal proceedings. This has nothing to do with Mr. Le Bail or the High Council.” He hands Grace a packet of paper, waiting for her to scan over it before continuing. “Even in the absence of Mr. Le Bail’s favor, the Danforth family fortune is considerably immense, especially for a woman of your…” The Attorney trails off, eyeing Grace and Faith’s depressing poor people apartment. “Economic circumstances.”
“Wait,” Grace sputters, flipping through the paperwork. “I don’t get it. Why would I inherent the Danforth family fortune?”
“Well, you are the last remaining Danforth.” The attorney explains simply. As though it’s so simple.

Shame washes her in dusky pink, hidden by the night sky, as her boss and her Hinge-find shake hands.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Jack."
"Likewise. How do you know Sam?" her date asks.
Jack throws her a look, bland and flat, and she doesn't know if she should laugh or die.
(or, three times jack crashes samira's date on accident + the one time it's on purpose)

Summary
“Work relaxes me, Mohan,” Abbot says, not quite chiding, his tone a shade warmer. He leans his hip against her workstation, ducking his head until she looks at him. “If I’m not at work, I’m trying to find a reason to come back to work. Let me read your article. I’ll be nice to you about it, not just because someone should, but because I can tell you without even reading it that it’s good.”
“You cannot possibly know that,” Samira blurts out.
He looks at her with an expression that’s stuck halfway between inquisitive and amused; the left side of his mouth threatens a smile. “Sure I can. I know you.”

Abbot and Mohan flirt in the Google Doc comments of her unpublished article. Abbot takes it upon himself to instruct Mohan on how to accept praise.
