Percy stayed at the edge of the lake, arms wrapped around his knees, eyes fixed on the dark water. The moonlight glimmered on the ripples, but all he could see was the pull of the power he hated. He barely touched it anymore. Barely touched any of his powers, really, since the war with Gaia. Every time he thought about using them—especially the one he had discovered in Tartarus—his stomach twisted.
