Summary

After completing his mission and turning back for Rocky, he and his friend have to navigate ever-complicated human pregnancy and parenthood during the 4 year trip to Erid. After touchdown, will Erid be willing and able to support two fragile human lives? What will Grace have to do in the name of bravery for his child? What does life look like for a child of the stars?

Summary
Being forced onto a spaceship against your will and flung light years away from your home planet in order to save your species from an extinction-level event is a pretty stressful ordeal. Now that the Beetle probes are on their way back to Earth, and the Hail Mary is on a two month journey back to save Rocky from his taumoeba infestation, Ryland is left with a lot of empty time to process the stress and remember how to relax. Most effectively by masturbating. However, his new found self-care routine is abruptly halted after intercepting with the Blip-A as Ryland relearns exactly what it was like to live with no privacy or personal space.
His body hasn't gotten the memo that Ryland absolutely cannot be jerking off in the same spaceship with an alien who can 'see' through walls and watches him sleep every night.

Rocky was stiff across from him, unmoving in observation, and Grace's glasses started to fog up. Summary
Grace wakes up, alone and confused on a spaceship millions of miles from Earth, with no memory of who he is and how got there. So he does the only thing his distraught, amnesiac human hindbrain can come up with - he get drunk off vodka, and rifles through everyone’s personal belongings.
He makes a mortifying discovery, but doesn't know how useful it will end up being. After he saves two worlds. And reconciles his feelings for his new crewmate.

Ryland wilts in the makeshift nest and blows out a long sigh. “Look, it's not that I'm ideologically against it or anything, Rock. It's just that—nothing has ever.” He abruptly pauses, wrinkling his nose to reconfigure his thought pattern while he stares at the ceiling of the ship and makes a vague hand gesture through the air. His blood capillaries are still dilated but not as obscenely as before. “Nobody has ever…y’know? Gosh, why is it so hard to talk about this right now?”
Simultaneous surprise and arousal hit Rocky like twin bolts of frenetic lightning. He would almost break out into joyous song if that didn’t feel slightly inappropriate in light of Grace’s burning bashfulness. “Oh, Rocky understand now,” he gently cuts in. “Grace is a virgin.”
