So that was where Trapper stood with Sidney: he wanted to kiss him. Kind of wanted to get on his knees for him, or maybe the other way around if Sid was up for a challenge. Definitely wanted to know if it was all that different kissing someone with a mustache than it was kissing girls when Trapper'd had his mustache phase in his early 20s.
Trapper values his friendship with Sidney. More than that, he values that he's the only one at the 4077th with that kind of friendship with Sidney. Of course, he could stand to go a little further than friendship.

Trapper didn’t give a shit if Hawk was a homosexual, but he figured he wasn’t really a homosexual. Trap had read Kinsey. Hawk thinking he was hot shit didn’t mean he was a no-frills homosexual, ‘cause a guy could like both. Hell, Trapper’d thought about it and came about to the conclusion that he’d probably have some fun with the right guy.
Maybe Hawk was the right guy, but Korea was one hell of a place to try to have that kind of fun in when Trapper had never tried before.
