Summary
"In his life, Yeosang kept things so private that the other members glimpsed only the carefully curated hints he allowed, and never the truth behind the smoke and mirrors. Most would play into it, perhaps out of respect or habit. Seonghwa, always observant, would call him “sleeping water”, a joke between them, but not really, for he knew better."
Yeosang moved through the world with the softest parts of himself carefully hidden, shadows tucked away from a world that had never shown him kindness. His secrets were his shelter, even as they left him feeling alone. Then suddenly, here was a truth, emotions that were just too strong to hide.
When Yeosang finally lets himself be seen by Mingi, he starts to wonder if he, too, is finally allowed to dream of a life that doesn’t hurt.

Summary
The Grand Canal wasn’t so grand the first time Seonghwa saw it. Now the last time—nothing would ever top that. A perfect mirror of the dying sun, an endless pink sky, and him: bronze, broad, and sweet. God, he’d been sweet back then, even though Seonghwa had been bitter and spoiled.
“Ready to say goodbye?” he’d asked, stripping off his black blazer and draping it over Seonghwa’s shoulders. Then he held Seonghwa’s cold hand in his warm one and slipped it into one of the pockets.
When Seonghwa pulled his hand out, it was full of flower petals.
But all that comes later.

Summary
When the spaceship Destiny gains two crewmembers, it’s natural that Mingi, as the technical maintenance officer, takes the new android under his wing and starts giving him jobs around the ship. He’s not quite sure what model ‘Yeosang’ is, but he’s clearly very advanced, with a high-quality humanoid body, a large database of information, and high enough artificial intelligence to hold full conversations, even if he’s still a little stilted and awkward sometimes. He almost makes a convincing human. Too convincing, in fact – before long, Mingi realises with panic that he’s starting to catch feelings for a computer who can’t possibly reciprocate them.
Meanwhile, Kang Yeosang, regular human with a lot of random knowledge, a good brain for maths, and a tendency to stare blankly into space, is enjoying all their time spent in the engine room together, and quietly hoping his crush on Mingi might just be mutual.
