Summary
Across the street, the driveway of 402 was bathed in the thin, slanting light of a late-autumn morning. And Rick was out there.
Daryl’s breath hitched, just once, a mechanical stutter in his chest that he didn't acknowledge.
Rick was wrestling with a lawnmower, the old red push-mower he refused to replace despite the pristine, self-driving machines the other neighbors used. He'd started in a heavy flannel - Daryl had watched it come off twenty minutes in, flung over the porch railing like a shed skin - and stripped down to a t-shirt that had probably been white once, years ago, but was now gray with age and washed thin, the sleeves cut off unevenly to expose tanned, corded muscle. His breath was fogging in short, hard bursts. He looked... Daryl searched for the word, rolling it around his mind like a smooth stone, tasting the shape of it. Golden. He looked golden.

A hunter learns the difference between a trap and a cage very early. A trap is what you use when the animal doesn't know it's dying yet. A cage is what you build when you've decided to keep it alive. This is a story about a cage.

Summary
Daryl Dixon only wanted a dry place to sit and a cheap beer.
Instead, he got The Wild Stallion on Ladies Night, a storm he couldn’t ride through, a road that had already tried to kill him once, and a savage cop grinding his dick on a pole. Daryl was straight. One hundred percent. That was why he drank his beer and kept his eyes on the door. Then Rick Grimes had the nerve to step onstage in tight uniform pants and make Daryl question his whole damn life in under five minutes.
If that wasn’t unexpected enough, out of every screaming, beautiful, horny woman in the place, Rick’s eyes had just locked on him.

A soft hiss, “I can’t...burn this out alone.”
Gabriel had said it to him. Soft and understanding, when he’d been in heat going on 10 days and shown no signs of improving. It makes this all feel...co-signed. Not Rick sleeping their way to freedom, or failing upwards, but a dire necessity. A biological response. He’s sure Gabriel didn’t mean, burn it out with Negan; but Rick hadn’t known what else to do.Bookmarked by sassie

Summary
The world does not slow down for pregnancy.
After the fall of the CDC, the group stumbles into farmland that looks like safety but feels like a trap. Rick Grimes is carrying life in a world built for death, his omega status no longer secret and his body no longer his own.
The farm brings routines — water drawn from wells, clothes washed by hand, watches rotated at night — but it also brings silence. And silence gives predators room to breathe.
Shane Walsh is unraveling.
What begins as obsession curdles into entitlement, and when Rick’s heat cycles return under stress, control is lost — not through consent, but through violence. Rick survives it. He does not remember all of it. His body remembers enough.
Daryl Dixon becomes Rick’s anchor, protector, and shield, standing between Rick and a world that keeps trying to take pieces of him. The group fractures under the weight of secrets, trauma, and a pregnancy that complicates every choice.
Shane’s actions seal his fate.
His death is inevitable — not just because of what he does to Rick, but because the apocalypse no longer allows men like him to exist unchecked.
The farm will burn. The baby will survive. Rick will leaSeries
