Summary
Lena is dead and Kara is completely, utterly lost. This is the story of how she deals with it, finds her voice and eventually starts to heal.
This story follows the same time frame of Killing Time (the other story in this series), this time told from Kara’s perspective. It can be read alone, before or after it. Canon until about halfway through season 5.
“You just cried for two hours straight and then had a panic attack” Alex persists.
“I loved her.” Kara shrugs, as if that realization hadn’t completely demolished her.
“I know you did, I loved her too and I’m devastated by her death, but with your history... It might’ve hit you harder.” Alex gets up too and puts a hand on Kara’s back.

Beomgyu looked almost exactly like Taehyun remembered him, sans the rebellious blond streaks in his jet black hair that he’d sported while they were still law students. He still had the same delicate features, though, the same broad shoulders and long limbs. The moment he made eye contact with Taehyun, his face folded into a scowl. “You’ve got to be fucking kidding me.”
“Beomgyu hyung!” Kai reprimanded, sounding shocked. “No swearing at strangers!”
“No, we’ve met before,” Taehyun said through gritted teeth. “He terrorized me all the way through school.”
“I did not terrorize you,” Beomgyu retorted. “You were an insufferable teacher’s pet. I’m surprised that you could even walk to class with that stick so far up your ass.”
“At least I wasn’t a delinquent who got in on mommy and daddy’s money rather than my own merit–““Okay!” Kai interrupted, voice slightly higher than normal. “I get it, old law school buddies. That’s great. Um, Beomgyu hyung, this is who you’ll be working on the case with."

Soobin feels something slam into him from behind with enough force to send him careening toward the cobblestone. The unmistakable sound of glass shattering fills the air as an escaped vial of viscous purple liquid is crushed underfoot, and for a moment his heart stops pounding. In fact, he swears it stops beating altogether.
“Oh shit, sorry mate!” Choi Yeonjun calls over his shoulder. All Soobin can do is watch helplessly as a semester's supply of Wolfsbane Potion trickles uselessly across the platform.
Ah, he thinks. So this year is going to be a disaster after all.
(Or: Soobin has to face his seventh year at Hogwarts without any Wolfsbane potion to keep his Lycanthropy under control--and the only person who can help is also the reason he's in this mess in the first place.)
