His expression softens a little.
Perhaps he can understand, if only a little, why Hyuna seems to like them so much.

Name is what you build your sense of self around of. If the name doesn't fit or causes you grief, you pick a new one. She did so once, she did so twice. But leaving behind the name and the past associated with it, didn't mean those things never happened.
She knew she had been reincarnated. But for the life she could not remember if this world was one she'd interracted with through some media in her previous life.
She made a... friend? Protector? But associating with him brought her more grief because of other people. She would be fine though. (She was not.)
He stepped in. Became her shield. She knew he was playing a longer game and she didn't know the outcome he sought for either of them. Yet she put her trust in his hands.

The way ahead darkened as flecks of the world seemed to fall apart, the walls were pulled away and the floor fell out from underneath them once more. Stelle spun to face him as they headed into the void once more, there was a smile on her face. She seemed to find this fun despite everything, she stretched her arms forward as though welcoming him to join her in the fall.
