Grace was the first person in a long time to give Simon hope. Pure hope, with no suffering needed for it to be justified. He gave it willingly, and he gave it often.
Simon clutched the receiver tighter, brows furrowed and heart aching as he listened to his hope cry.

Frank Iero is a rebellious teen in a pricey, all-boy Catholic school he really couldn’t give a damn about, only there at the behest of his uber-Catholic grandma, and his bourgeoisie-esque parents who are more concerned with their status than anything else. Mikey Way is more of a recluse, who would much rather keep to himself and who would really like it if idiot bullies would stop beating him up. And on top of that, he had his abusive Catholic parents to deal with. What can you say, they’re a couple of 17-year-old boys with their own problems and no real purpose in life. Although, a little smoke break, a broken nose, and one confrontation in a school bathroom could change all that.
