       “If it was a riddle I wanted, I’d have sought out Gandalf.”

    When Aragorn took you under his wing, you came from nothing and knew nothing. You could not look any more different from him, yet you still endeavored to follow in his footsteps. This was, perhaps to a fault, as you also caught the eye of an Elf despite your much shorter lifespan.

    (or, the quest to destroy the Ring brings you and Legolas together, and the rest of the Fellowship is fed up with the slowburn that seems set on outlasting the War itself. Implied POC!reader, but no appearance descriptors. Takes place during the LOTR trilogy movies.)
