“Why are you texting Miya Atsumu?” Kiyoomi asks, peering over Motoya’s shoulder at the series of messages on his cousin’s phone.
Motoya yelps and turns his phone screen away. “You didn’t read anything, did you?” he asks nervously.
The gremlins in Kiyoomi’s mind take one look at Motoya’s panicked expression and come to the conclusion that his cousin must also have a crush on the Inarizaki setter.

Oh. Wait. Wait. Atsumu knows that small square, the fountain, the two big trees. His twin's second restaurant branch is only a few blocks away.

Atsumu chuckled, rubbing slow circles into Kiyoomi’s shoulder.
“You don’t make me anxeous…surprisingly,” Kiyoomi muttered after a pause.
Atsumu grinned. “That supposed to be a compliment?”
“Take it however you want.”
“Oh, I’m takin’ it as a huge one.”

''You haven't even said Bokuto's name once, you keep sayin' 'Bokkun' like you usually do. You haven't said Meian's name either, you keep sayin' 'Meian-san' like you're supposed to do. But every single time you mention Sakusa, it's always 'Omi'.'' Osamu titled his head, like he was working something out. ''You don't even call him that to his face, do ya?''
Atsumu says Omi a lot. Way too much. His brother finally calls him out on it which causes Atsumu to go on a spiral of denial.

One minute, Miya Atsumu is in 2010, fighting with his brother over who gets to hang out with Suna after school. The next, he's in 2025, lost in a brand new city, and very, very intrigued by the wedding ring on thirty-year-old Suna's finger.

Kiyoomi shifts on his feet, avoiding the wide eyes that are burning holes into him. He knows his face is probably – no, definitely – flushed red, but he doesn’t want to think about it. Doesn’t want to think about what a confession this is. “I’ve never kissed anyone.”
Miya clears his throat again. “And you want me to be your first?” His voice still cracks. Why is he so flustered over this? Surely Kiyoomi should be the embarrassed one in this situation.

Summary
Atsumu has a long history of pissing people off, but this time he’s gone too far. Someone wants him dead, and although he doesn’t know who or why, it becomes clear very quickly that both he and Osamu are in danger. After a couple of close calls, Kita - the Kumicho of Inarizaki - decides it’s not safe for the two of them to stay in Hyogo; not until he finds out who placed the hit and eliminates them.
Atsumu reluctantly finds himself in Tokyo, taken in by a yakuza group that’s nothing like Inarizaki. The Black Jackals are a different breed, more lethal than he’s used to, and Sakusa Kiyoomi is the worst of them all. Of course that’s who Atsumu gets stuck with, and he and Sakusa are in constant competition for who hates each other more.
Tokyo should be a safe haven but between Atsumu’s bloody new assignments, the lingering threat on his life, and all the days trapped with Sakusa, Atsumu isn’t sure he’ll make it out of Tokyo alive.
