His hair was messy as though he’d been running his fingers through it, and the light made it look almost blond. MacReady watched him for a minute, just taking in the sight of him bending over the desk instead of sitting in the chair next to him, the pencil between his teeth bobbing as he spoke under his breath. His glasses had started to slip down his nose.
