Summary
A dream. A dream to conquer the evil intricately laced within the powerhouse of his city he sought to attain, and so he did.
By the hands of an ambitious blond-haired boy, the corrupt Don of Passione was overthrown, alongside him the power-hungry schemes his subordinates perpetuated. No longer would you encounter greedy mafiosos preying upon the innocent. No longer would you encounter youths bearing needle marks on their arms, having fallen victim to the profiteering drug trade. No longer were the streets breeding grounds for violence and fear - they were saved.
That meant nothing to you, however. Not when it meant the death of your only family; your brother, Leone Abbacchio.
However alone you thought you were, your brother’s death affected another. Whether or not his newly acquired title, “Don Bucciarati” meant anything to him either anymore, he did not know.

This is the only literature I have written that’s not an essay, so bear with me. I don’t know where I got this idea from, I just wanna navigate it. I have only a vague idea of how this will unfold, so come find out with me. I just hope to write something nice, so please enjoy.

Summary
Joseph had always dreamt of flying—being regaled with stories as a kid of the incremental march towards flight, and the veritable explosion of flying machines that happened after, instilled in him a sense of wonder at the infinite world aloft. So, naturally, when the war in Europe broke out in ‘39, he took advantage of his father’s position in Britain’s Royal Air Force and hopped the first ocean liner to Southampton, eager to finally take to the skies.
But when he’s shot down over the Alps and finds himself beaten to hell and back with a guarded (and frankly grumpy) Italian pilot who claims to be just as stranded, he’s forced to work with the very enemy he’s been fighting for the past 12 months. Can they put aside their differences to survive the dead of winter and get back home?
