Summary
Jay narrowed his eyes as he heard the clatter of products being roughly shuffled on the shelves. He paused his own job of wiping down the main counter to give a stern look to the other scrawny body that was working in the sex toy shop.
At the noise, Ty had froze.
His back was to Jay, but his shoulders had hunched down, as if he could shrink himself enough to escape Jay’s ire.
“Be careful unloading the stock,” Jay said sternly. “Do I need to give you an orgasm?”
Ty whipped around, frantically waving his hands as he tried to placate Jay.
“No! No!” he said, squeaking in alarm as he pulled his legs protectively together. “I-I’ll be more careful.”

Eden paused mid-drink at the knock on the door.
It wasn’t that it was entirely unexpected, but it did catch him by surprise. He pulled the straw out of his juice box, chewing on it as he pushed himself up off the couch and meandered towards the door.
He undid the latch, cracking it open, and raised his eyebrows at the pleasant surprise.
“Oh, damn,” he said, looking over the shivering naked boy standing on his doorstep. “I didn’t think you’d actually do it.”

“Hm? Talc?” Lomic said, stepping around to the front of the elf’s head and starting to undo the ties that kept the elf’s hair up and out of his face. “I’ll bet you’ve seen enough younglings to last you a lifetime.”
Talc had been in Lomic’s family for generations, the proud story of his capture by Lomic’s great great great great great grandfather a well-known fireside story that was also passed down from parent to child.
Talc had been a casualty in a border skirmish, abandoned by his party after an arrow left him wounded in one leg and unable to keep up with their speed, at least, that was how Lomic’s great great great great great grandfather had told the story. Grandpappy had rescued the poor thing, nursed him back to health, and then trained in the ways of farming rather than battle.

Summary
“Cody?! Cody? It’s almost time for dinner, clean up, bub!”
Cody looked up from the plain white sheet of paper he had been idly dragging a crayon over. He hadn’t made that much progress over the afternoon, even with the boredom of staying in the bland, beige playroom.
Every surface was padded and safe, but the cupboards and toy chests were all locked. Cody was really only allowed to play with the toys that were pre-chosen for him, and it wasn’t often that he had any actual input on those options.
Today, he had been left with a single piece of white paper and three fat crayons of just the primary colors, a soft, white foam ball, and a muted i-pad that cycled through a set of screens with groups of objects. If Cody tapped one of the animations with his mitted fist, a little sparkle would play on screen and then big floaty letters would spell it out for him.
It was only mildly entertaining.
