Varka holds onto the end of his tail with his free hand as Lohen shifts on his lap, keeping it from wagging embarrassingly. Before he can overthink it, he downs the drink all in one go, letting the burning sugariness clog up his throat.
It doesn't have the unmistakable taste of medicine that Lohen usually taints his drinks with. Confusion washes over Varka for a second, until he sees Lohen chuckle.
"Alright! Let's get you back home before it hits."
The wolf walks right into the rabbit's trap.

The vampire’s voice sounds like two people speaking at once– silky smooth familiarity on one side, otherworldly and coarse on the other; it slips through Ezreal’s veins like venom.
It’s probably (definitely) not a good idea to antagonize this vampire, but Ezreal never had much self-preservation to begin with— you don’t get very far in his line of work by running away from death.
“I thought we were getting to be friends,” Ezreal calls out dramatically, straightening in his seat, ropes tied tight around his chest, arms, and ankles, “I’ve even been cleaning up after you. Is this really necessary?”

As he's enjoying the moment, something touches his ankle and makes him flinch back into the air with a startled yelp. He looks down at what he feels and sees several of the purple tendrils rising toward him, one of which has coiled itself around his ankle and continues to curl up to his shin.
