As Sophia leaned in, Megan’s heightened senses were flooded by Sophia’s scent, a blend of sandalwood and something sweet, like rain on jasmine. It was grounding, yet intoxicating, making Megan’s pulse skip for reasons that had absolutely nothing to do with the moon. (A solid 100/10 experience, highly recommended.)
"You’re burning up," Sophia whispered, her hand lingering against Megan's skin a second too long before she stepped back. "Do you need a heat pack? I can tell the choreographer that—"
"No, really, I’m good," Megan snapped back, then immediately softened her tone. "Just a bit of a cramp. I can push through. Thanks, Soph."
Just a bit of a cramp, she thought, strangely satisfied. Only the kind where your ribs just finished sliding and clicking into place like a Tetris game. Totally normal girl problems.

“Do you think such a bad case of Hanahaki can be cured?” Yoonchae asks, looking up at the sky. Her chest hurts, her chest has always hurt, but it hurts so badly right now. She doesn’t think it's just because of the flowers growing inside of her. “People are often given months to live when diagnosed with cancer, but yet they prevail. Do you think I can prevail too?”
If Megan was looking at the sky, she'd turn her head to stare at Yoonchae. But she was already doing so in the first place, staring at Yoonchae. Perhaps she always had throughout the years they’ve known each other, and they were both too clueless to notice.
Yoonchae’s dying of her Hanahaki disease. Instead of finding a cure, she creates a bucket list.

Avoiding it hasn’t worked. So when she gets the call that Steve is finally a dad, a trip to Hawkins brings everything crashing back all at once.
Nancy will have to confront things she hasn’t in five years and attempt to get closure from the guilt she’s carried just as long. Except, it’s much more complicated than that when she finds herself given a second chance to change the way things play out.

There were ghosts super positioned over Sophia's form; her five years younger, more recent photos from Instagram, the occasional photos from birthday texts, and Manon couldn’t help but think about how. How her eyes still crinkled up at the edges when she smiled but the set to her shoulders was new. How her hair curled at the ends and how she still fiddled with her fingers while thinking. She wondered what Sophia saw when she looked at her like she did now. This felt like a thought that would haunt her for much too long.
