Summary
Peter always knew he was the odd one out in his family. It wasn't like he didn't try, he did try to be apart of the family just when he was younger and it never worked. He was never able to connect with anyone, at least not the way Harley connected with their dad, or the way Morgan had everyone wrapped around her little finger since the day she was born.
Peter was just there, in a way he believed that he wasn't important, not to his family anyway. That was what he always believed, at least before he got his powers and became the one and only Spider-man.
Maybe there was a reason why he was always the odd one out after all.

This is a translation of my original French story; The themes explored between their misadventures include grief, family, friendship, adolescence, and parenthood. And, of course, all the details are in the tags~

Summary
(English translation of my original French fanfiction)
Peter Parker, an orphan who has been living in foster care for several years, suddenly learns that:
1) His father is alive;
2) His father has agreed to take him in;
3) His father is TONY STARK;
4) HE IS GOING TO LIVE WITH TONY STARK.
From that moment on, his life takes an unexpected turn.
Tony Stark can say the same: it isn’t exactly easy to discover, overnight, that a fourteen-year-old boy shares both his genetic material and an excessive taste for danger (as proven by the strange red-and-blue pajamas Peter hides in his suitcase).
Both of them will have to adapt to this new daily life filled with uncertainty, surprises, and setbacks—and perhaps discover the true meaning of the word “family”… (But why did some weird alien creature have to choose this exact moment to start causing trouble in the city?!)Bookmarked by pjo_jb2sylv

Peter couldn’t help the snort. If only the man knew that he was already working for him. “I’ll let you know.”
There must have been something off about his tone, because Tony narrowed his eyes at him and just stared for a few seconds. Peter tilted his head innocently.
“No way you already work for me.”
An innocuous comment sparks an idea that Spider-Man is a Stark Industries employee. Which he is, but surely that’s not enough to out him, is it?
Tony will not rest until his crazy theory gets proven correct.

She sighed, gaze distant as she thought over the pros and cons of telling him the truth. Finally, she nodded and spoke up again. “We had a hit in the system. A missing person case.”
All Peter wanted to do was help. He didn't expect to discover that his entire life was a lie.
So much for returning home before dinner.
