Frank didn’t have many rules for Mel. Just a basic few that Mel appreciated having. She was always forgotten by her parents, parentified from the time she was eight on. She never had any rules besides to take care of Becca, never given any comfort or guidance. She craved the structure of having someone care for her, the relief of having someone else take control and make all of the decisions. She found that, and everything else she could ever ask for, in Frank. And she loved following his rules, being called a good girl, doing exactly what he said and how. Most of the time.
