Kalim has always been a vivid dreamer. But when he and his friends accept an invitation from Ruggie to attend the Cloudcalling Festival in Sunrise City, the heart of the country's longest wet season, his dreams begin to deepen—growing heavier, intense, more vivid, and strangely insistent. What should be a simple trip soon becomes something else entirely. Time seems to make little sense, and familiar faces feel less like chance encounters and more like echoes. As the distance between dream and reality thins, Kalim begins to sense that the pull he feels is not new, nor accidental; and that his arrival is Sunrise City is anything but coincidence.
