This is how it always goes. Flame walks into a fight, Lomedy digs into a wall or runs around nearby to split the enemy forces, and then when it’s done his best friend comes to find him and check him for injuries and throw an arm over his shoulder while they soak up the joy of surviving together.
Flame always finds him. Lomedy just has to huddle in the crevice he’s wedged himself into and wait.

Portgas roars wordlessly in frustration and grabs him by the collar of his jacket. “Stop running, Sabo!”
He’s distantly aware that he stumbles at this, legs abruptly going numb and nearly sending him to the ground were it not for the grip Portgas has on him.

He can’t breathe. There’s a splitting pain in his head, but it’s overwhelmed by the warmth he feels behind his ribs, something slotting into place that he didn’t notice was loose until it wasn’t anymore.
That’s his name. More than that, it’s his Name. His real one. The one absolutely no one should know, because how can he give it to anyone when even he doesn’t know it?

ParrotX2 is the smartest and oldest player on the Unstable SMP. He's seen the glory of sumptuous empires. Their subsequent relicts. He's been entangled in conflicts— has seen the descent of warriors due to their vanity. He's witnessed corruption of capitalism; the dynamic of the exploited and exploiting. Each memory, he's kept close to his hearts. A reminder of the right thing to do.
It's a shame the toll it's taking on him. Parrot's alone, in an imprisonment of his own extension. It's just him and these forgotten memories.
And, Theobald, of course. Brilliant, brazen TheobaldTheBird.

Summary
Sometimes, the world didn't make sense. Events that happened one way would be remembered differently, or things didn't line up as they should've. Important details would be forgotten at a rate that appeared outright convenient for the sake of drama or angst, and catastrophes that far crossed into the realm of contrivance were all centered around one person.
Marinette never gave a thought to it, or perhaps it was more accurate to say that she couldn't. To her, life was normal, and the terrible things she'd experienced since putting on the earrings came down to only her own shortcomings.
It was almost funny then, how the only one who could save her from it all was herself.
