"Fester was asleep.
It was an incredibly rare event – the man could stay awake for weeks if he wanted to, and he often did exactly that. Being as energetic as he was, it was particularly strange when he was finally down, probably because of the sudden loss of his movement around the house. Many relatives simply believe it impossible for the man to rest – asking him when he last slept. The dates he manages to grasp from the air in response always make them howl with laughter – quite literally, depending on who it was.
Much like tornado chasers, it became a game to hunt down where he’d (probably unwillingly) collapsed whenever his body decided that he needed to sleep, but recently it had turned into something much more mischievous."
