    Wyatt Hayes was tired of having too much time on his hands.

    Sure, sitting around and not having to get into his butterfly position was doing wonders for his joints and obviously meant that the team in front of him was doing well. Or maybe Montreal was just falling flat on their face. Either way, Ottawa was laying them out on the ice and it seemed incredibly embarrassing.

    But he was bored.

    Even with his current mindset of these early games, that being “watch the puck and hope to not get run over,” he could tell the game was getting chippy, if not downright aggressive.
