Lexi bites back a smile as she watches her husband pace around the room with clenched fists, she notes how red the tips of his ears have become in just a couple minutes- Fez is pissed.
“Babe, Mr. Johnson is just doing his job,” Lexi sighs, patting the couch cushion next to her.
With a huff Fez sits down, “I get that Lex- but, damaging school property? Don you think that’s a little dramatic?”

Looking up from her book and at her husband, Lexi takes in the dried white paint on his forehead and splatters on his dark jeans, and the faraway look in his eyes.
“It’s in the kitchen under the sink. But don’t you want to take a break for a while? You haven’t sat down all day.”

“Tommy,” Joel starts, clenching his fists. He looks at the terrified girl, and she shrinks under his gaze. He forces himself to relax, adjusts his stormy expression enough that it won’t scare her off before he figures out just what the hell is going on here. “You’d better tell me what’s goin’ on and where the hell Ellie is—”
“That little girl is Ellie.”
Joel barks an unamused laugh, but his rage is quickly reaching a boiling point. “That’s real funny, Tommy, but I ain’t in the mood for fuckin' jokes.”
“I’m serious, Joel.”
“Tommy, I am about to lose my patience—”
“Fuckin’ look at her!” Tommy exclaims, gesturing wildly at the kid. “Look, you think I don’t know how crazy this sounds? Jesus Christ, Joel!"
The whole time Tommy’s talking, Joel can’t stop staring at the girl. She’s watching them go at it with wide brown eyes full of tears she’s refusing to let fall, and Joel feels another gunshot rip through his heart.
Or, Ellie mysteriously transforms into her six-year-old self, and Joel gets to know his daughter all over again. Meanwhile, Ellie gets a second chance at childhood.

After a long night of hanging out with her friends and boyfriend, El goes home utterly exhausted. As she gets into her bed she feels as if she isn’t alone. She has a nightmare through the night… again.
She seeks comfort through Mike and as soon as he hears the sobs in her voice, he sneaks on over. He crawls through her hidden window and stays in her room and holds her to calm her down.
