When trauma happens, your memory begins to catalogue things in terms of the 'before' and the 'after.'
Before - The counselors have an ordinary summer at Hackett's Quarry, but there were little things, here and there, that in hindsight seem oddly prophetic.
After - Nick wakes up on the morning of August 23 and realizes that nothing will ever be the same, not ever again.

Summary

Michael is still attempting to wrest away control of Shelby Company Limited, Mosley and the British Union of Fascists have friends in surprisingly high places, and Tommy has to work like never before to hold on to all he’s built- and his wife, as well.
Caught in a fight that Tommy can’t afford to lose, Lizzie finds herself working with him more closely than ever, and maybe, just maybe (and against her better judgement), she can learn to trust him again.
