Half of him hoped maybe Dazai-san had forgotten or maybe even simply stayed asleep through the night. A smaller part of him, the part knowing that Dazai would never be so foolish, hoped the brunette had chosen tonight to jump from the highest floor.
Atsushi quickly and guiltily shook the intrusive idea away and pushed the door open slowly.
Dazai was sitting right where he always did; but his stacks and stacks of stuffed binders, bandage rolls and unfinished paperwork was moved, leaving space for his clasped hands on the table. Shit, of all times he chooses tonight to be on time?!
