Summary
After a 7 year absence Alastor finds himself subjected to the whims of the overly excitable and extremely naive daughter of Hell's absent ruler against his will and his better judgment. Bound by his Deal and compelled by the contract he signed with Niffty he tries to learn how to navigate this new afterlife he finds himself forced into. It all seems pretty straightforward, stick to his end of the bargain, keep his tiny sinner safe, and find some way to free himself of the restrictions his loss to Vox has imposed on him. It all would be pretty straightforward if the rules didn't keep changing on him, if he wasn't also fighting against Niffty’s fading sanity, and he didn't feel drawn to the most infuriating Angel in all of creation.
The sequel to Good and Kind Aren't The Same Thing and For The Love of Entertainment, Dancing with Demons sheds light on the winding path Alastor must follow to free himself and find the happiness he promised to search for, all while exploring what it truly means to be redeemed.

Summary
Husk has only seen Alastor sick once before and that was more due to the effects of a bad injury than any real illness.
Thus he really doesn’t know how to navigate it when he finds Alastor sick whilst closing down the bar, only that he can’t alert Charlie or anyone else and things are looking like this isn’t a simple run-of-the-mill virus.

“A jazz lounge all the way here?” Husk asked his boss. He shook his head. “I’ve been around this area before. This place is a dump.”
With Niffty taking the lead, Husk was left walking just slightly behind Alastor. His boss seemed to be in a good mood, more or less. But after recently teaming up with the Princess of Hell, Husk supposed it would make anyone feel a little like they were on cloud nine.
Especially so soon after one appeared from their seven-year stint from who knows where.
“Husker, if you know of any good spots for a good wind down, I’d be delighted to hear it!” Alastor said with a little flourish and twirl of his cane. Once they turned a corner and passed an abandoned liquor store, Husk was met with a nondescript door, wedged into the concrete wall, as if the stone were ready to smash it apart. “But you should know that the best spots are always hidden.”
or; Alastor takes Husk and Niffty for a night out, but Husk can't help but question his boss on every motive.
