Summary
Elwing is young and tiny and the Light around her father's neck is a distant thought. Entertaining to fiddle with while she is in his arms but nothing special. Nothing captivating. Ada laughs and scolds her when she tries teething on it and there is something cold that slithers into her toddler bones and beating heart.
