Summary
Patrick Jane knows how to survive.
He has been doing it for years.
After the accident that took Angela and Charlotte, Patrick rebuilds what is left of his life around the one person who still needs him: his son, Oliver. A small house in Sacramento. A yellow kitchen. Dinosaur books. Pancakes shaped badly enough to become legendary. Bedtime stories, grief that never fully leaves, and one little boy who deserves every ounce of love Patrick still has left to give.
Then Oliver meets Teresa Lisbon in a bookstore and immediately decides she is important.
Teresa does not mean to become part of their lives. Patrick does not mean to let her. Neither of them is prepared for the strange, ordinary, terrifying way love begins to grow—not by replacing what was lost, not by erasing the past, but by making room for something new beside it.
A warm, emotional, domestic Mentalist AU about grief, parenthood, slow-burn love, the CBI team noticing far too much, and the quiet miracle of a family becoming three.

Summary
“Coroner got DNA results back,” Cho says. His clipped voice tells Jane that Nathan has been successful. “Still waiting on dentals. But DNA matches Lisbon.”
His throat is dry. It’s the perfect vehicle for a hoarse, “Oh.”
When Lisbon narrowly avoids being killed by a bomb meant for her, Jane decides the safest option is for them to pretend she's dead until the killer is found.

Summary
When Teresa Lisbon arrives at the Seabreeze Palms Hotel & Spa she's dragging her heels, not ready to surrender to her enforced time off. She should be in Sacramento putting bad guys away but instead she's in San Diego "recovering" from a pursuit that went wrong.
She's not expecting to meet Patrick Jane, a high school teacher with eyes as blue as the ocean, and his daughter, Charlotte who make the week go by in a flash.
Maybe a dalliance by the sea doesn't have to be restrained to the romance novel she's reading.
A Jisbon AU - Jane and Lisbon are in their early forties and Charlotte is eighteen.

Summary
Set between 6x08 and 6x09, this story explores the idea if Jane invited Lisbon to his little island paradise. It’s very indulgent like a summer iced tea, but that’s what I believe summer should be.
