Summary
There were seven seats. Seven thrones across the sky, upheld by ideals wrapped in divinity. Each governs a nation, and through it, defines the purpose of its Archon, unchallenged in absolute.
To embody an ideal is to deny its opposite. And so, balance was asserted.
Mortality, the first wound. That all men die and in that dying, cherish what moments remain.
Impermanence, the second fracture. That no beauty lasts, and so it is beautiful.
Will, the final forge. That to rise in futility is the only act worthy of remembrance.
Together, they are Transience. The Eighth Ideal teaches not preservation, but perseverance. To walk this path is to accept loss, not escape it. To know pain, not mask it. To live because life is fragile. That which holds still rots. That which endures breaks. That which forgets death dies twice.
And so it came to a land held beneath thunder. Where Visions were plucked like wings, and when the lightning that seeks to freeze all things is met by a blade forged to end them, then, and only then, shall the heavens be cut open.
The Ideal of Transience does not seek victory. It only seeks to be heard.
And when it is—
Eternity shall bleed. -

Summary
This work is a series of short stories based on the first one called: Fear, Hunger, and Cosmic Horrors. With the Original Main Character going to another worlds, just like the first work. The idea to write this secondary fic came about suddenly; I wanted to make other Fear and Hunger books with my OC having more adventures, but I didn't want to develop something new from scratch.
The main work is still in progress, but I will occasionally update this one, as I don't want to abandon the idea, and I recommend you read it to have more context behind what will be written.

The Gods chose me, for them this is just a game, a play, a source of entertainment, for me, it's a life and death situation.
