Summary
Patrick doesn't fit into his father's high standards.
Pete's family hates the Stump family due to the fraud they've been committing for years.
Patrick is unaware of this fraud until Pete confronts him about it one day, causing him to go out of his mind and stealing money from his own father just to get Pete to shut his mouth.
This rivalry has been going on for hundreds of years, all because of one simple misunderstanding between Patrick's ancestors and Pete's.
But after one too many drinks, and a couple of flirty words, something sparks between the two boys.

Dearest Gentle Readers,
Spring is in session, bringing the most affluent families of the nation to the golden gates of the Capital. As ever, the Ton demands nothing less than perfection. This year, however, the Court’s eye (and that of every mama) has settled upon on a certain Lord Bakugou Katsuki, the Earl of Musutafu, and thus declared him the most eligible bachelor of the Season.
A distinction he would sooner reject entirely than entertain. Indeed, Lord Bakugou has made his aversion to society quite clear. One might even say he would prefer anything to selecting a suitable diamond for a spouse.
Unfortunately, fate is rarely so accommodating.
With news of a retired general’s return to society comes rumors of a certain strong-willed, emerald-eyed ward in his shadow. That Lord Bakugou should take any notice at all is surprising. That he should find himself entangled… is a matter of growing interest.

“Looks like I bit you.” Will tilts his head to get a better look. All Mike can do is stare at him. His fluffy hair at the front, clumped pieces at the back where he’d slid his fingers in a mere few minutes before. His pretty green eyes that look hazel or even brown in this light, the dark circles he gets when he drinks framing them like intricate paintings. A satisfied, bloody smile.
Mike isn’t satisfied. He swallows thickly, choking down the words 'don’t you want more?'
