Summary
This is a bad idea, he thinks, even as he steps further into the room. It's pure selfishness, a behaviour that he is quite frankly not familiar with in the slightest. It’s wrong. But there's little point trying to convince himself to leave now. He was doomed to fall the moment he allowed himself ‘just one look’. He has never been able to escape Mydei’s gravitational pull.
Mydei's shoulder rises and falls with his steady breaths. Even asleep, his body radiates the unyielding strength and noble presence of Castrum Kremnos’ rightful ruler. Khaslana has always been in awe of him, in every sense. The man is godly with or without a coreflame, and Khaslana only wishes he could still worship him as he once did.
He reaches out and gently brushes his fingers against Mydei's arm.
Khaslana has not revealed himself to the Chrysos Heirs in this cycle. He allows himself the indulgence of visiting Mydeimos while Phainon is away, hoping that it will ease the ache in his heart.
Mydei has a dream, as vivid as they come.
