Summary
The room fell into silence again, thick but not unbearable. After a moment, Jing Xiang reached for the suit jacket he had abandoned earlier, shaking it out before draping it over Sungmin’s shoulders.
Sungmin stiffened.
“What are you doing?” His voice was harsh as he grabbed at the fabric, ready to shove it off.
Jing Xiang smirked, amused at the glare that was supposed to be threatening but came off more pouty than anything.
“It’s my revenge,” he said simply.
Sungmin narrowed his eyes. “Revenge?”
Jing Xiang nodded, completely serious. “Now you’re overdressed too.”
There was a beat of silence. Then, to his surprise, Sungmin huffed a small, reluctant laugh. The anger in his gaze softened, replaced by something quieter, more unreadable.
Or: Jing Xiang suddenly gets invited to a party by Sungmin, a classmate that he hasn't talked to before.

Jaehyun said it like he wasn’t internally combusting. His tone was casual, or at least trying to be—somewhere between confident and terrified.
Sungho looked up from his phone, brow lifting slightly in amusement. For a brief second, Jaehyun thought he might’ve made a complete fool of himself. But then Sungho smiled—slow, warm, a little amused. The kind of smile that said yeah, I remember you, and you’re still kind of ridiculous.
“Yeah,” Sungho replied, slipping his phone into his pocket. “Maybe I am. Still trying to, anyway.”
Jaehyun laughed awkwardly. “Right. Carpe diem and all that.”

Sungho didn't ask to get married. Or rather he even begged to not. It didn't matter if his husband has the softest curly hair, or if he had the gentlest voice, or that he had the prettiest eyes Sungho has ever seen.
