Summary
Eddie Diaz.
Ghosting bastard. Shirtless menace. Walking thirst trap.
Looks him dead in the eye and says “nice to meet you” like Buck doesn’t have the receipts. Like they didn’t match. Flirt. Make plans.
Like Buck didn’t get stood up in public, drink in hand, heart in pieces. -

Summary
“You didn’t do anything wrong,” Chris says quietly. “But you did stop talking to us. And that left a mark.”
Buck swallows.
Chris nudges his knee. “You know, I used to think you and my dad would end up together,” he says.
The words come so out of left-field that Buck gets whiplash from the speed he turns his head.—
Ten years later, Buck sees Chris at a coffee shop.

Summary
Eddie takes a deep breath, “I need you to kiss me,” he says, or, blurts, more like.
Buck doesn’t even miss a beat, “Sure,” he nods eagerly, “Tongue or no tongue?”
(Or, Eddie is sort of in the middle of a sexuality crisis in his fucking thirties, for God’s sake. Luckily, Buck is there to help him, as usual.)

Summary
Buck had no idea why he was called into the police station. He hadn't done anything, and he'd been doing pretty good keeping his jealousy about everyone getting to know and hang out with Tommy Kinard to himself, he was pretty sure, anyway. But called in to talk about something, having to do a DNA test, and then getting put in a conference room with a little girl that was obviously bored? He had no idea what was going on and just wished someone would tell him something.
Whatever.
He could just make friends with a six year old.

Summary
Buck never shared that he could play the guitar. It was just a fun hobby that he'd kept for himself. Except then he's at a bar with some of the guys from the 118. And mistakenly says the guitarist is messing up too loudly. And gets called out about doing better.
And then Eddie shows up with a few people from dispatch and Buck can't figure out why Eddie is looking at him like he wants to eat him...
